A Great Big Sister

Haley loves to cuddle with Hannah and sometimes wishes that Hannah would just sit on her lap. Well that is what she got today and she loved it.

Hannah is in the I can't be apart from my mommy even for a second stage. So when I get on the computer she has to hurry over to help me out.

What's going on?

So I thought that I would post an update on what is going on with the Hekking's. As a family we are doing great. We are trying to revisit the fun attractions and go site seeing before we leave the area. So we have been going every weekend. There are still a few places we want go before we leave but there is still two weekends.

Hannah is moving like a champ these days. She doesn't want us to feed her anymore which just doesn't work because she is still on phase two baby food. We did start giving her peas to feed herself so that we can sneak the rest of her dinner in as she is eating them. Also the top of her first tooth just came through so that is fun.

Haley is precocious as usual. We can't take her anywhere without saying NO a million times. She has a new bad habit that we can't seem to break. She twirls her hair around her finger until it is in such a bad knot that is looks like she has gum in her hair. Lastly she speaks very well and all the time (which is usually very funny).

I really don't have anything to say for myself except that I am have been busy planing for the new house. I am boring.

John has been the busiest of us all. He has been running none stop at work because he has to get A LOT of stuff done before we move (they are going to be lost without the worlds best lab tech). He also as been going to out processing appointments almost everyday (that's a military thing). The loan is just another thing that John has been doing none stop so that we can move in when we get there. Let's not forget all the things that he is doing for the family and around the house. What can I say he is truly amazing.

Pathetic

This picture is just pathetic. We have a busy road right behind our house so we don't open the window very often and we did yesterday because it was finally sunny outside (it has been raining none stop for the last week and a half). Haley was laughing every time a car drove by and Hannah just wanted to look out the window with Haley. Who know looking out a window could be that exciting.

I am not sure why but Hannah always has her tongue out and yes she has some left over peas on her eyebrow.

Only John can get Hannah to laugh this way. He can make her laugh so hard her eyes start to water. I love to hear her laugh like this.

Haley is the sneakiest girl alive and this time daddy just happened to have the camera and caught her red handed.

Hannah is crawling now. she is still working on perfecting it but it is really cute. Little by little for now :)

First and Hopefully not the Last

We got to take Hannah to the beach this last weekend because it was 80 degrees outside and we thought a walk on the beach would be perfect. I am so happy that we got to take Hannah to the beach before we left and I really hope that we get to take the girls again before we leave.

then Haley wanted to pull her and the fun was over.

Accepted

Our offer on the house was accepted last night and so as of right now we are working our tails off to get all of the loan paper work finished. We are so excited we are about to be first time home owners!!!

Hannah and I went to Arizona this past weekend to look for houses (Grandma Hekking came down to help out) and Great Grandpa and Grandma Hekking live there so we got to see them too. It was a fun and stressful weekend not to mention the overnight stay at the airport hotel because of weather and a stupid flight attendant.
