Well we made it to Arizona. It was a four night stay in the base hotel in Virginia (after our stuff was picked up and before John was aloud to leave). The stay at the hotel in Virginia was not fun, we pretty much didn't want to be there anymore but had to be but saying goodbye to our friends was hard (Haley still asks to go see her friend Jocelyn it makes me feel so bad). My dad came in the night before we left so that he could help us drive.
Then a five day drive to get to Arizona. We had fun treat bags for Haley with toys and goodies. She got a new one everyday.
The first day we got to Kodak, TN because the weather turned bad and tornadoes were heading right for us so we thought it best to stop. Now Kodak is like 12 miles north of Dollywood and if you ever go there it is worth the drive to go up to Kodak and go to a wonderful place called the Chocolate Monkey. They have AMAZING fudge. It was almost as good as my moms but not quite.
So of course it rained almost the whole next day. We stopped in Fort Smith, AR which was a very small town with not much to do so luckily the hotel had and indoor pool as you can see Haley had so much fun with Grandpa McCurdy and Hannah just watched loved watching Haley laugh and play. FYI: I didn't have a bathing suit so that is some of John's clothes that he let me wear to take Hannah in the pool.
The third night we made it to Santa Rosa, NM and let me tell you that is a place that the movie Cars could be written about. It was tiny and there was only like four restaurants there and three of them were closed because it was Sunday (wait not only Sunday but EASTER Sunday). So the one that was open was Denny's (not a place I personally choose to eat ate normally). Just to make it even better there was a group called Mustangs Across America in town that night all eating at Denny's. So there was a WAIT and we had to wait forever for our food. The cool part of all that was seeing all of the different kinds of Mustangs that were driving around. Oh and they had two 2010 models that were leading the "pack" if you will. That was the best part about staying in Santa Rosa. Although Haley thought that the best part was the indoor pool again and this time daddy got in the pool with her.
John didn't like this so much he thought we should have pushed to Phoenix but we stopped in Flagstaff (the girls were done and I was way done). Nothing fun to say about Flagstaff we just went to dinner and straight back to the hotel to went to bed.
This is a picture of Haley the last day in the car. She kept saying it's to sunny grandpa. Two and a half hours later we were at the hotel in Phoenix.
Then an eight night stay in the base hotel in Virginia (the closing on our house got changed like five times). So the hotel stay was longer then we had anticipated. So this is a picture of poor Haley laying on my lap at the hotel it is so dry here that she got a bloody nose. she didn't like that happening at all.
and of course Hannah coming over to make sure Haley is okay.
After we got here we just started running and running so much that Haley was sleeping a lot more then usual and this is her crashing out in the living room right after she woke Hannah up from her morning nap.
So now here we are three days in our house and ready to be completely done unpacking so that life can begin. I will put posts of the house on as soon as it is not covered in boxes.
